Michael Kors Spring 2012 Collection
For spring, Michael Kors wants to take us all on safari. And if we get to wear clothes like this, we might even be willing to put up with the snakes and the bugs the size of our iPhones. It’s safari filtered through a luxury lens. Gorgeous, rich, earthy shades of brown and green, oranges and reds, coupled with zebra and python prints, batiks, and tie-dyed looks. It’s a collection both earthy and ethereal at the same time, with floaty sheer pieces paired with sturdy sandals and boots; and ponchos and sweaters walking alongside caftans and bathing suits. The feeling is both rich and casual, like a night back at the lodge after a day spent taking pictures of lions. It’s textural and luxurious and makes us want to hit the savannah in a slouchy jacket and dip-dyed pants, posing with the sun at our backs and feeling fabulous. Hissing Beetles need not apply. Meet us back at the hotel bar later for cocktails and posing, darlings.
