Kate Winslet for V Magazine

We love Kate; really we do. Oh sure, we criticize her for her robotic red carpet appearances and privately we roll our eyes when she gives one of those (to us) breathlessly insincere “li’l ol’ me”  acceptance speeches every time she wins an award, but when she’s not up her own ass, she can be fun and give the kind of performances we like to watch. But after watching her haltingly walk around the Mildred Pierce sets for 30 hours with her brow furrowed like she had a migraine, we found ourselves wishing she’d do something fun and glamorous for her next starring role. In the meantime, we’ll take her dolled up in Liz Taylor drag.

After Liz died, the inevitable questions of who would play her for the inevitable biopic(s) arose and we couldn’t think of one current actress who might be able to embody her brio and ballsy, fleshy sensuality. Looking at Kate doing her best Liz here, we’re thinking she might be fun in the role if she really loosens herself up and doesn’t do that Kate thing of overthinking her acting sometimes. Get Daniel Craig to play Burton and that could be a fun picture. Make it happen, Hollywood. T Lo wants it.
