We always swore we’d never feature pictures like the following here:

Elisabeth Moss arrives at Chateau Marmont in Hollywood.

But she looks so adorable and so NOT how we think of her that we figured, “Why not? It’s Friday.” We’re going to be charitable and presume that she’s arriving early for some event and will get changed inside. Because sweetie, we don’t care who you are, this is not a “going out” outfit.

But hey, nice legs, Lizzie!

While she doesn’t look stylish, I think it’s the best I’ve ever seen her look. She’s comfortable, smiling, relaxed and happy. That does a lot for a person’s looks, no matter what they’re wearing.

  I don’t think every 5 head needs bangs I have at least a 4.5 myself. If this was an RC look I’d say she needs a bit of powder to tone down the shine, but I think for an every day ordinary people look she looks great.

  I kinda feel like for the “all eyes are upon you, & you knew they were going to be, & critiquing your appearance is a small industry” events she needs bangs. For day-to-day life I like that she can look cute and be happy and accept that her forehead isn’t cookie-cutter-textbook-ideal-proportions.
  
  Now, how one reconciles these two points of view, without fake bangs which often look fake (esp. with hair as fine as hers looks to be), I dunno.

Is it possible that I just saw her in a commercial for Aleve or Excedrin or some such? With long hair, parted in the middle? It wasn’t a Celebrity Endorsement, so if it was her, I’m guessing it ran well before Mad Men and they’re trotting it out now to capitalize on her fame.

  Long running Excedrine migraine commercial. I think it’s kind of a celeb endorsement because it ran after West Wing when she already had a bit of a name. And, as a non-celeb endorsement – stuff works wonders!

What is the event? Is this an event, with a red carpet? She didn’t stand and pose before a board with a lot of sponsors — she’s getting out of the car, which she appears to have driven herself and dropped off at the valet. If the grill at the Chateau Marmont doesn’t have a dress code, why should she have to dress up for us?

  I’d guess it’s either mid-prep (after someone ruined her hair by putting it into those curls she sometimes wears that emphasize th breadth & height of her forehead &after she changed shoes but before a last minute change into the dress) or, as sleah_in_norcal says, after the event is over & she’s back in her schlepping clothes.

She’s got such a great figure and she wastes it with terrible clothes, or at the least clothes that do not suit her. She always looks best in simple and sleek and not neutral. This is the wrng outfit to go out in, but it certinly shows her figure to advantage.

I want her quads without the rest of the muscular bulk my fast-twitch body requires. FWIW, I spent many a summer day looking like her back in the 80′s (but with mutli-colored hair more times than not). That’s why I am limited to small heels now. Deformed toes and now a big toe that had to compensate (it’s arthritic with 70% ROM last time it was checked) suck when bitches like SJP and her simian toes can rock 8″ pumps with regularity.

I’d be lying if I claimed I remembered more than one or two of her red carpet dresses, but I have a strong impression that she almost always looks uncomfortable or anxious in those pictures, even while smiling.

As has been said, she looks soo much better here.
