2011 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards
Darlings, it was the 2011 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, and we don’t have time for his nonsense! We’ve got fashion shows to get to this morning! Hit it, celebrities!
Alison Brie
It’s cute and sparkly and that suits her to a T. Wouldn’t have recommended black pumps, though.
Ariana Grande
Stop that.
Cara Buono
It’s a bit of a standard goddess gown, but that color looks great on her.
Cat Deeley
Another great color, but we REALLY hate the side cutouts.
Chris Colfer
Sigh. Are you sure you’re gay, Chris? Because THAT is NOT how the gays dress. WAY too shiny.
Clare Grant
They’re not THAT perky, honey. Get a bra.
Cloris Leachman
Credit where it’s due: She’s like 106 years old and she can still rock the cleavage.
Idris Elba
You are insanely hot, Idris Elba, but we can’t tell what your suit looks like BECAUSE YOU’VE SHOVED YOUR HANDS IN YOUR POCKETS LIKE AN 8-YEAR-OLD GETTING SCOLDED. RAARH!
Janie Bryant
We don’t normally like such washed-out colors but this looks very pretty on her.
Jeremy Davies
It’s the “Schmemmys,” as Kathy Griffin calls them, so a certain amount of leeway is to be expected, but this is just a bit too quirky for our tastes.
Jesse Spencer
Cute, but the jacket and the pants both look too big on him.
Julie Stiles
White isn’t the best choice for her because she’s naturally pale, but she looks pretty sharp. Or she would if this wasn’t pulling on her. A less bridal shoe would have been nice. And the tight hair isn’t her best friend.
Kathy Griffin
Why, Miss Kathy. This is downright demure for you. But if those are satin peeptoe platforms, we take it all back. NO PLATFORMS WITH GOWNS, LADIES.
Kiernan Shipka
Adorable, sophisticated and age-appropriate. Well done, Sally Draper.
Kristin Chenoweth
Because of her teeny-tiny size, she hasn’t always been successful finding dresses that looked good on her, but she looks adorable here.
Loretta Devine
Sweet Jesus on a Breadstick. It’s kind of an interesting dress (except for the rosary beads hanging off her skirt), and it suits her, but for the love of GOD, Loretta, WEAR A BRA.
Maria Canals-Barrera
Standard.
Mary McDonnell
Standard (but pretty).
Randee Heller
That’s not the greatest dress in the world and it’s certainly not the best way to pose when you’ve got the sun behind you, but we just wanted to point out, in case you didn’t know, that Randee played Don Draper’s secretary, Miss Blankenship, in this past season of Mad Men. Seriously. Now, THAT was some amazing costuming and makeup.
Rebecca Romijn
We love it just for being an interesting print. She looks great.
Rich Sommer
Adorable. But get your hands out of your pockets, Dimples.
