It’s time for our end-of-the-day pretty, darlings. Like a soothing cup of chamomile to calm your nerves and enrich your soul. Or maybe just pictures of a fierce bitch WERQing her shit. Sasha Pivovarova samples the fall Armani collection in front of the lens of Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and looks sharp and chic while doing it. This campaign reminds us a little of fashion magazine ads from the ’80s, all lacquered and angular and colorful.

Put on a little Duran Duran and enjoy, kittens.

“GIRLS ON FILM! Two minutes later!” My very first musicn cassette as a child was a Duran Duran album.

Love almost all of the clothes. The bag with the convex bottom in photo #4 particularly caught my eye.

I would wear the hell out of that quilted jacket in dusty rose. I think that’s the only quilted coat I’ve ever seen that I liked, excepting Jay’s awesome masterpiece from his PR runway show, which is an entirely different sort of quilting.

Funny you should mention Duran Duran, my tickets just came in the mail today. These clothes are crying out for Tilda, Cate & Zoe to take them to the red carpet.

I looked at the pretty pictures before I read TLo’s editorial. I used to work as a fashion illustrator in the eighties, and these looks scream the eighties. As usual TLo hits the nail on the head!

It does have an 80s feel, without being a pastiche or trying too hard be retro. The first look really sets the tone of the campaign (it may be my favourite), I think, and I love the quilted coat and the high collared look that follows it. I would like the one with the hair-trim more if it didn’t have it on the sleeve – she appears to be in the midst of transforming into a werewolf.

(But since it is 2011, I have chosen to listen to Duran Duran’s most recent album – which, by the way, is fabulous.)

Love the clothes- absolutely gorgeous! Not my style, so I can’t say I WANT any of them, but definitely want to see Tilda and Cate rock them all. The model…..yikes. If I saw only one of these shots by themselves, I would probably think she’s doing a fine job. But picture after picture of that same expression….oh, honey.

Not a fan of the shoot. Don’t care for the mono-face model and really don’t like the coloration, or miscoloration, of the whole thing.
