Cover Girl: Dianna Agron for Cosmopolitan

The September issue of Cosmo offers three different heretofore-unseen sides of Glee star Dianna Agron:

Azzedine Alaia

There’s angelic-with-the-proportions-of-a-superheroine, robot-faced Dianna…

Kevork Kiledjian

Then there’s dominatrix-with-two-dimensional-forearms robot-faced Dianna…

Dolce & Gabbana

And finally, cougar-with-no-internal-organs robot-faced Dianna. Don’t forget to tweet your favorite to Cosmo.

Also, Dianna says something that rather sweetly and naively illustrates the line separating the celebrity from the non-celebrity:

“It’s really sad looking at people like Lindsay Lohan. She’s an amazing actress, but you see what happens when people know too much about your personal life. They start not being able to look at you the same way professionally. I don’t want that to happen to me.”

Non-celebrities look at Lindsay Lohan and see someone with serious addiction issues and severely irresponsible parents. A celebrity looks at Lindsay Lohan and sees someone who suffers from lack of privacy. It’s not that she doesn’t have a point, but the fact that she looks at Lindsay and sees a cautionary tale about privacy rather than about drugs or the lack of a good support system speaks volumes about how weird it is to be famous.

And isn’t that a little bitchy of her to be saying stuff like that publicly?

Yikes, I’m not generally prone to complaining about Photoshop, but it’s so blatant, poorly done, and unnecessary that it’s impossible to take these pictures seriously. It looks a bad joke.

Honestly, this makes me kind of angry. As someone who uses Photoshop daily (although for web design, not photography) I cannot understand how the people who work for these magazines can butcher people in this way and think it’s totally OK. It’s gross.

Since they are all photoshoped within and inch of life, I’d take the head on #2 and put it on the body of #1. The 3rd one is just scary.

As for her Lilo comment, yes it’s sad that she sees it as a privacy issue and yes it’s not a very nice thing to say even if it is in response to some sort of loaded question.

I see your point, but I don’t think its fair to read a three line sound byte and conclude that she doesn’t appreciate the whole Lohan situation. Maybe, if she isn’t personally familiar with Lindsay Lohan or her family dynamic, she was simply being diplomatic in making an objective commen about something which she is familiar.

Poor Photoshop. Like Autotune, it’s been used and abused to the point of absurdity. Seeing these shots just shows how challenging that haircut is – and who ever found putting your hand in your pants “sexy”?!? Even in the best looking shot, it still doesn’t look that great. since everyone & his uncle moe decided he or she was a designer cos their $50 scanner came w/ a free copy of photoshop LE, jobs have been much more scarce in the field.
this HAD to have been done by a temp. still, it was approved by an art director who makes ridiculous money. for giving us this.

Re: Lilo — to put the best spin on it possible — it’s not inconceivable that the media attention makes getting over the addiction that much harder. Being honest with yourself in private is hard enough, but to try and face those demons while constantly being in the public eye is another. If she could get it together enough to actually work, she might improve her personal situation, but the constant attention to her personal situation means she will never get that work. Perhaps that is what DA was going for. (Also, hard to tell since we can’t see the question asked or the flow and context of the discussion).

Her comment also kind of supports the cocaine rumors surrounding Ms. Agron herself. The problem isn’t the drugs; it’s that people know about the drugs. And she doesn’t want that to happen to her.
