In or Out: Diane Kruger in Chanel Couture
We fear we’re not going to be able to be objective about this one. Then again, we’re normally about as objective as your average cable news political pundit, so this is nothing new. After all, the tagline is “Fabulous & Opinionated,” not “Fabulous & Careful Consideration,” right?
Now, you probably scrolled down and thought “She looks fine! What the hell are these two queens going on about?” It’s like this: there are two design elements in women’s fashion that we almost uniformly, across-the-board, don’t like: asymmetrical hems and ankle straps. The former always makes it look like she got her dress caught in her limo door and the latter always makes us think of showgirls in ’30s musicals. On the other hand, that’s a pretty fabulous look top to bottom, even if we sniff at some of the elements. The hair’s bothering us a bit too. She’s got the Teutonic good looks and bone structure, but this little ‘do is making her look a little bit “milk maid” from the neck up. As you can see, we’re all over the map on this one. Only you, our precious unborn fawns, can make the call:
IN! She’s a tall, icy glass of Chanel, bitches!
OUT! St. Pauli Girl! Another round over here!
The Minion Opinion on Cate Blanchett’s salute to Nancy Reagan was pretty mixed, but in the end, she was declared IN.
