It’s tacky to be sure. But that really long right arm bugs the shit out of me.  Or is it supposed to be someone else snipping the tie?

not to mention, where exactly are her nipples, and her hip doesn’t line up on either side of the shears. fantastic photoshop job, LIfetime.

It’s the clothes! They should have done a series of shots with her in some of the wacky-to-jawdropping clothes designed on the show!

this poster is so dramatically out of touch with project runway in general, i’m baffled. hell, even as a lesbian this poster doesn’t make me want to watch pr. 

It’s almost the exact same pose from the Esquire cover 10 years ago.  And, if I remember correctly, that cover caused a similar stir about the magazine being desperate by using a naked picture of Heidi Klum to sell a story about…something not related to Heidi.

You asked the question before, and I’m going to restate it:  Who is the target market for this ad?  It can’t be to the viewing audience because you can show all the naked women you want to–you’re still not going to get many straight men to watch.  They must be trying to look ‘hip and edgy’ to the tv industry as a whole–but I don’t think anyone in the biz is  buying it.

And I HATE that they pimp Tim Gunn’s phrases like that. They are wearing them (and him) out. 

Can a reality show ‘jump the shark’?

I have to wonder about the Photoshopping.  She is a gorgeous woman, but her abs look “tweaked”.  When you see he on a runway in a bikini lately her abdomen look different (wider? or something) .

And I agree with TLo’s earlier comments about the audience (who we are and why this would not generally Make It Work).

 I just had to stand up and position my right arm in the same position to see could I do it with my short arms. I looked like a complete ass but I don’t think anyone saw me try it. I hope.  Anyways, you can do it, but not with as much space between your body and arm as that poster implies. And as for the missing nipples, well I’m not going to try that one out…..

And the line between her  left breast and upper left arm looks like a cartoon. Maybe it was drawn with the same shapie that they used to write “Make It work ” with. Maybe they are selling sharpie markers. Do you think Sharpie is a new sponsor?
They should have written “Carry On” on her arm, because you carry things with your arm , get it?

For me, PR ran its course for me a long time ago, so I’m maybe not the most fair judge, but ew.  Just…  Ew. 

No, thanks.  I’ll pass on this season, too, but look forward to reading all about it here!

I’m sure someone’s already said everything I’ll say, but haven’t had a chance to skim:

1.) How much money could it possibly take to find someone with some minimal knowledge of human anatomy to either do the photo shopping or to cast an editorial eye on the results? (I think it looks like there’s a 2nd person reaching in across her tummy)

2.) It’s SO touched up/shopped that it doesn’t even look like a photograph any more (especially across her ribcage & stomach), so really, what IS the point?

God this is dumb.

Didn’t Heidi make a big stink last year about how much she hated tops that showed side-boob? 
Isbottom-boob is better?

Is it a breast cancer awareness thing?  All the pink and boobs speak to that…

I don’t get it and I don’t get all the photoshopping and this has nothing to do with Project Runway.  This makes me sad for some reason.  Also, tell me that a woman even as genetically gifted as Heidi Klum has NO STRETCH MARKS anywhere!  WTH?  Blech.

Um, maybe it’s the first unconventional materials challenge.  Dress Heidi in scraps and tools that are lying around the workroom.

No, I was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt–maybe they were doing a “How will we cover her up?” theme–but no.  This is just dumb.

I actually think her right hand is over her belly button, not her vagina.  It makes photographic sense that the vagina is just out of the picture and responds both to what TLo said about her knee-length arms and what someone else said about no belly button. But then again…
It is a rather stupid ad, unless, as someone said below, this is supposed to tie into Breast Cancer Awareness (but awareness month isn’t until October).

This must be the last desperate grasp (or gasp) for attention before going off the air. This will be the last season for Project Runway at Lifetime – I stopped watching two seasons ago. Lifetime always seems to miss the mark with the programming. They found a way to take a hit show and make a mess out of it

The Vagina Network has once again lost its way.  Although seriously, my boobs are that high after three kids so I guess it’s a real picture…NOT!!!!!

Tacky, tacky, tacky. I’d rather see Tim in a turtleneck. 

Her face looks so manly. 

On the chestal area discrepancy, I don’t think it’s necessarily off, just awkwardly covering the parts that the network wants covered.  The left forearm is pushing Thelma down (or, more likely, Thelma was tucked down there after the pose was struck) and concealing the nipple, while the left hand is pushing Louise up and covering the nipple.  It’s weird, but possible.

And I have officially thought about that MUCH more than a sane human being ought to.

That weird hand hovering over her non-existent belly-button and pubic area made me think of Thing on the Addams Family. And the scissors are positively scary. 

Obviously they moved her arm down so the scissors she’s holding won’t overlap with the giant pink “LIFETIME.” It still looks stupid though. 

That is one tortured-looking torso.

This would have been a brilliant promo if instead of Heidi, they had used a naked Tim Gunn. Well, if you’re going to Photoshop the hell out of it anyway, why not?

Am I the only one who’s been getting a serious Ann Coulter vibe from Heidi now that she’s got the longer hair?  The first banner ad for the new season scared the shit out of me when I saw it.
