Michelle Obama in El Salvador

It’s pretty. The dress from the collection is much more beautiful and dramatic because you can see the print better. Still, it’s probably not fair to compare a gown with a day dress. We like the color on her and the fit is fine, even if it’s another full skirt for her. We also like the brooch, but we’re not sure a flowered brooch (or any brooch) was needed with a floral print. Still, like we said, it’s pretty.
U.S. President Barack Obama offers a toast as first lady Michelle Obama raises a glass to El Salvador First Lady Vanda Pignato during an official dinner at the Casa Presidential in San Salvador.

Oh, Miss Shelley. You do try a gay’s nerves sometimes. A stunning look. Perhaps the jewelry was a bit much, but you can get away with heavy jewelry if the look is as simple as this. But that wrap is causing unattractive twitching at the corners of our eyes. Disagree with us if you must, because we’re not claiming this as a “rule” or anything, but in our opinion, a lady doesn’t cover her shoulders with a wrap; she wears it across her upper arms. The second you have it resting it on your shoulders (or hanging on your neck, Chanel forbid) is the second you start looking like you yanked a tablecloth off a table because you’re regretting wearing a sleeveless gown. Bottom line: if it’s covering your collarbones, you’re doing it wrong, in our ever-so-humble opinion.
