Lakmé Fashion Week
In case your day has been colorless so far.
Darlings, we need to ease back into our work week since we kindasorta took the weekend off (“Off” being defined as “Write 1.5 posts a day instead of 7″) and have an awful lot of catching up to do. While we’re working on the Mad Men post and the Project Runway post, and various NYFW posts that we’re behind on, let’s all take a moment and just enjoy some unadulterated pretty from Lakmé Fashion Week, currently under way in Mumbai.
LFW’s stated goal is to “Redefine the future of fashion and Integrate India into the global fashion world.” We’d say they’re off to a good start as these pictures show fashion that ranges from the culturally inspired to the fantastic and futuristic. And always, everywhere you look, there is gorgeous, saturated, eye-pleasing color. Make yourself some tea, crank up your favorite Bollywood soundtrack, and have a little eye-party to start your week off right.
