Visual merchandiser and lead stylist for Gap Inc. in the kids’ division.

What is a fashion must?

Pairs of expensive, great-fitting jeans and big sunglasses.

What are your strengths as a designer?

I have the advantage of being a both a stylist and a designer.

What’s influenced your designs over the years?

Texture and three-dimensionality play a big part in my designers.

What’s your favorite material or fabric to work with?

Wool, tweed, denim, leather; anything that can give structure and texture.

Do you prefer patterns or solids?

Both.

What are your favorite colors?

Green.

What fashion faux pas drives you crazy?

Flare jeans and Ugg boots together.

Christian Siriano.

Honestly, we would have pegged him as the super-serious and focused type, but then…well…:

The hell? Obviously, it worked. We just had a scathingly brilliant idea.* Some film school dropout needs to start a business making audition videos for potential reality show contestants because each year, the bar gets raised a little higher.

It’s interesting. We love the skirt and jacket. Can’t really make any judgments or predictions on such a small sample, but we have to wonder if someone so wedded to those techniques is going to be able to handle the time crunch.
